Off-Road Legend Rod Hall Maintains Baja 1000 Record!

November 18, 2011 (Reno, NV) – Today, off-road legend Rod Hall will do what he does every November, put on his race suit and leave the starting line of the famed Tecate SCORE Baja 1000. Hall, the most winning racer in Baja is the only man to compete in every Baja 1000 race since its inception in 1967. He has racked up twenty-one class wins in the event’s forty-four year history.

Hall will be competing in the Stock Full class in the #862 Master Pull – Special Operations Warrior Foundation H1 Alpha Humvee. Owned and raced by Sam Edgar, the two will share driving duties with support from a capable team of Special Operation Forces veterans and race professionals.

The course is a 692.82-mile loop through northern Baja. Hall will race from the start to race-mile 150 and again from race-mile 320 to 450 for a total of 280 miles. Both drivers characterized the course as “exceptionally rough with damage and washouts from recent rains.”
