Title : Product Category Manager
The Product Category Manager is responsible for developing the product vision, roadmap, business cases, investment strategies, pricing strategies and marketing efforts that are aligned and support the company's overall strategy and goals. Gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, developing market requirements and value proposition, and working closely with engineering and sales staff to deliver winning products and successful market penetration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct and perform all aspects of product development, product changes and product promotions, including development procedures, specifying components, packaging and header design, product positioning, pricing, catalog and sell sheet copy, training aides and point of purchase merchandisers.
Manage and communicate sales information and product changes both internally and externally.
Regularly perform pricing and competitive analysis by customer channel and recommend strategies to improve market position, improve quality or reduce costs.
Produce, maintain and update annual forecast.
Provide the highest level of internal and external customer service.
Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services.
Ability to work within a dynamic environment and industry.
Identify, qualify and grow new business opportunities.
Identify key decision makers, stakeholders, influencers, proponents and opponents within the distribution supply chain.
Develop and manage client relationship to support revenue targets and goals.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in business from a four-year college of university.
8 – 10 years of experience in the industry or similar industries.
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point and QuickBooks.
Ability to travel 15 - 20 %
Ability to travel at short notice.
Prefer but not Required Education
MBA from an accredited institution.
